About Me
Hello! My name is Victoria Bacon, and I am an Instructional Designer. I have been designing trainings since 2019. Before that I was a classroom teacher teaching science for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. I am currently finishing my dissertation for a PhD in Instructional Design for Online Learning. Between the research that I have done in learning theory and the practical application both in a classroom and in my current role I am a well-rounded Instructional Designer.
I am a Constructivist and feel like adults build their own knowledge based on prior experiences as well as what is presented to them in trainings. Part of this mentality is also that adults learn through doing, all training should give learners a chance to practice the skill they are being taught in an environment that is as close as possible to the real-world task.
I have experience designing training in Articulate 360, Lectora and Captivate. In the Skills CBT and Compliance CBT sections you can see examples of my work.
